We started this because CBA broke the spreadsheets.
SchoolTrack is built by Noria Technologies Ltd, a Kenyan software company working alongside teachers, bursars and principals to build a school management platform that takes the country's regulatory and curricular reality seriously.
Most Kenyan school software was built for a world that ended in 2022.
The Competency-Based Curriculum replaced rote marking with rubrics, observation logs and portfolios. The Office of the Data Protection Commissioner started issuing real fines. KEMIS replaced NEMIS in January 2026. None of these were small changes — and most of the systems still in use were built before any of them happened.
Our team has spent the last two years sitting with teachers in Nairobi, Kiambu and Mombasa, watching the workarounds. WhatsApp groups full of parents' phone numbers. M-Pesa SMS confirmations copied into Excel at midnight. CBA reduced to four-letter dropdowns because that is all the existing platforms supported. Vote-head accounting done on paper because the software treated school finance as generic.
SchoolTrack is our answer. It is built on three commitments we will not compromise on: KEMIS-native data structures from day one, CBA-correct assessment depth that matches what KNEC actually asks for, and DPA-compliant consent and audit infrastructure so schools never end up on the wrong side of an ODPC inspection.
How we work
Three commitments behind every release.
Co-built with educators
Every feature in the rubric builder, observation logs and KJSEA placement engine came from teachers showing us what they actually do — not from product managers guessing.
Compliance leads the roadmap
When KEMIS updated schemas, we shipped on day one. When the DPA penalty cap moved, our consent layer moved with it. Compliance changes are not roadmap surprises — they are our first commitment.
Reliable, not flashy
Daily backups, audit-logged operations and dependable uptime. The product gets out of the way so your staff can do their actual jobs.
What we won't compromise on
The internal rules behind every product decision.
Compliance is the floor
DPA, KNEC, KEMIS, KICD, KRA — we ship the platform that lets your school satisfy each of them without a side spreadsheet.
What we show is what we ship
Our public site, our docs and our sales conversations describe the same working product. No vaporware.
Educator-first
If a workflow takes a teacher more than 30 seconds and it should not, we redesign it. Teachers are co-authors, not test subjects.
Built in Kenya, for Kenya
Nairobi-built. M-Pesa-first. KSh-first. Swahili and Sheng coming to AI drafting. We do not apologise for being local.
